I paid 50 people $1.00 each to take a picture of themselves using the Amazon Mechanical Turk api. Total cost: $50 (plus a reward to encourage innovation). I used this message. Everything was surprisingly automatic, I have to explore this api more.
Question for any hackers reading this list. . . does this give you any ideas for a crowdsourcing app? If so, please reply on my blog.
